About Zenub
Zenub Umer is a tutor, researcher, and pre-med student who has spent four years working one-on-one with middle and high school students on SAT/ACT prep, AP courses, and college applications.
The tutor
Zenub Umer is a fourth-year Biology and Neuroscience double major on the pre-med track. She scored a 1580 on the SAT, was admitted to multiple Ivy League universities, and has spent four years helping middle and high school students reach their academic goals.
As a researcher at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Zenub has learned to break down complex material and explain it clearly. Her students have gone on to top-20 schools, with several gaining 200+ points on the SAT, including one who rose from a 1230 to a 1560.
Zenub works directly with every student. There are no other tutors at Umer Prep. Every session is one-on-one on Zoom, tailored to each student’s needs, pace, and goals.

Diagnostic-first approach, custom study plan, practice tests and targeted weak-area review. Taught by a 1580 SAT scorer.
Year-round homework help, unit test prep and AP exam strategy across 9 subjects: Calculus AB/BC, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, APUSH, AP Euro, and AP CS Principles.
College list building, personal statement and supplement editing, application strategy, FAFSA guidance and summer program applications.
