Umer Prep (“we,” “us”) provides one-on-one online tutoring and college counseling. This policy explains what information we collect through umerprep.com and our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We use your information only to reply to inquiries, schedule and deliver sessions, track your student’s progress, send invoices and reminders, and improve our services. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We don’t use it for advertising.
We share information only with the services we need to run the business, such as Zoom (for sessions), our email provider, and our website host. We may also share it if the law requires us to. We never send student materials, such as essays, to colleges or anyone else without your permission.
Our students are middle and high school students. A parent or guardian should contact us and arrange services on behalf of any student under 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without a parent’s consent. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information without that consent, contact us and we’ll delete it.
All sessions take place on Zoom, and Zoom’s own privacy policy applies to your use of its platform. We don’t record sessions unless the parent and Umer Prep both agree in advance.
We keep student records while we’re working together and for up to two years afterward, so we can help with things like recommendation details or returning students. After that, we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you or your student. Just email us. We’ll reply within 30 days.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of sending or storing data online is completely secure.
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.
